Penis slide for children?
by Pariah on Mar.26, 2009, under Disturbing, Humorous
I just came across this slide on youtube while looking at the typical unusual stuff that mainly fuels my site. Now this isn’t your usual slide, well, it is your usual slide in the fact that you climb up in and slide down it, it slightly varies in design from the wood or plastic varieties in that it’s inflatable but that’s were the normality ends. This slide looks like a giant penis spitting out children. I just can’t figure it out, I can’t see anything else while looking at it. I can’t seem to figure out what the designer may have been thinking. I swear, a saint could look at this slide on only see a phallus spitting forth kids. If the video were a little clearer it might be easier to see what it’s supposed to be but this end still looks like a penis no matter how you look at it. While looking for clearer videos I noticed the slide was mentioned on a few other sites such as failblog and another I forget right now because when the marked it their site label was too large and went off the screen, anyways, without further ado, the penis slide.

Vader lives on, but not where one would expect. Yet where would one such has him have to go after the fall of the empire, and how would he get by, simple, use his obvious talents as a violin player to earn cash:
Microsoft is not compatible with Homosexuality
by Pariah on Mar.25, 2009, under Serious
Jamie Durrant, an employee of Lionhead Studios for 11 years has recently come under attack for his sexual preference. Recently Microsoft bought out the gaming studio (2 years ago), Jan. of last year the attacks began. Mr. Durrant began receiving slanderous emails with titles such as “I’m Jim and I’m Gay” and “Me and My Favorite Men”. People around the office began referring to Mr. Durrant as “Fag Boy Jim”. Mr. Durrant tried taking the proper steps to have the harassment issues taken care of, he went to his superiors and agreed to settle things within the office and not to raise any formal grievances, yet nothing was done, they stated an email would be sent out about the issue at hand reminding the employees of proper behavior in a diversified environment, months went by and the email never came. At one point that had even tried to have him sign legal documents stating that he was satisfied with the email method of resolving the problem and agreeing not to go formal legally which he denied. Soon after the promised email failed to be sent another slanderous document arose, this one posted in the staff kitchen. Mr. Durrant is currently out of work due to depression and has been for seven months. He is suing Microsoft for £45,000 for emotional trauma and lost wages due to what he has endured and what he is going through.
My two cents, it’s pretty sad the world is still like this, people need to get over the fact that others are different and deal with it. It’s how it is and its not going to change, accept it and lets move on as a whole or well never advance. It’s these dregs that hold us back and keep the primitive side of human nature fueled.
Playstation Home Xi: Alternate Reality Game
by Pariah on Mar.24, 2009, under Gaming
Yesterday an alternate reality game was launched in Playstation Home. Anyone with a PS3 and access to Home (internet connection) can play. The game starts by looking around home for the strange graffiti, which is located if I remember correctly right to the right of your condo/apt. entrance.
The symbol is hard to make and looks more like a black sprayed circle on the wall, to me it did anyways, could just be my screen. Clicking X on this brings you into the ‘hub’, after a short download of course. As you enter the ‘hub’ you are informed it was the early alpha tester zone and you are not supposed to be there by the narrator and shortly thereafter you learn that strange things are going on. From what I have read at Kotaku, and Playstation Blog, the game will be ever changing, gaining new content and areas on a weekly to monthly basis which sounds pretty cool to me. At least it makes me want to go back into home and possibly even spend a little loot to change my avatar’s looks since people will be seeing him. Just a few minutes I go I finished playing the “game” myself and have to admit it is amusing and has the potential to be pretty damn good. Your first task is to simply search the area for some pieces of paper for the narrator, once found you need to access a website from one of the consoles in the area and solve a puzzle which grants you a code to enter, the code then gives you a piece of a puzzle or map, not sure yet. You can also get another puzzle to do from a robot known as the “Stapler” who is near the first piece of paper you found, his puzzle are a bit harder to solve. To start his you need to do the clap action at a certain area to get the actual question and hint, then scour the web again. These sites you are using for the puzzles are actual websites and not just in game (this is the actual site you use to solve the Stapler’s puzzle “http://cafeconmiguel.wordpress.com/”). All in all this seems like it could be a great idea on Sony’s part, an interactive alternate reality “mystery” game to keep people drawn to Playstation Home. If you have a PS3 I’d recommend you at least check it out.
